How to Build ANY Chord!
Here are the formulas you need…
Interval Stacking Formulas:
Major Chord: Root + Major 3rd + Perfect 5th
Minor Chord: Root + Minor 3rd + Perfect 5th
Diminished Chord: Root + Minor 3rd + Tritone
Augmented Chord: Root + Major 3rd + Minor 6th
Number Stacking Formulas:
Major Chord: 1 + 3 + 5
Minor Chord: 1 + b3 + 5
Diminished Chord: 1 + b3 + b5
Augmented Chord: 1 + 3 + #5
You can use either of these formulas to build and play the chords in any key on the piano.
